Terry Butler, of Tampa, Florida, U.S., is the current bassist in the death metal band Six Feet Under. He was also a member of Massacre and Death. He was credited on the Death albums Leprosy and Spiritual Healing, though band leader Chuck Schuldiner stated in the press that, in fact, Schuldiner himself had played bass on the former album.[citation needed]
He is married with three children, and is brother-in-law of bandmate Greg Gall.
Before he joined Six Feet Under, he was in Massacre with Steve Swanson, the current guitar player of Six Feet Under. In an interview, he said: "I'd rather be popular in the Underground, than be unknown in the mainstream."[citation needed]
Terry has now joined up with Kam Lee, Curtis Beeson, and Sam Williams to form Denial Fiend which starts touring this October in Europe.
