Terrier Search Engine

Terrier is a software for the rapid development of Web, intranet and desktop search engines. More generally, it is a modular platform for the rapid development of large-scale Information Retrieval applications, providing indexing and retrieval functionalities.

Terrier was developed by members of the Information Retrieval Research Group, Department of Computing Science, at the University of Glasgow.

A core version of Terrier is available as open source software under the Mozilla Public License (MPL), with the aim to facilitate experimentation and research in the wider Information Retrieval community.
