Terra Markets is a Norwegian security company associated with Terra-Gruppen. It is responsible for security investments on behalf of the Terra member banks and their customers. Actual management of securities was performed through the now bankrupt Terra Securities while mutual funds are managed by Terra Fondsforvaltning.
Terra Markets AS is owned 66.73 % by Terra-Gruppen (again owned by 78 local savings banks) and four senior executives in Terra-Gruppen, including former CEO of Terra-Gruppen Ola Sundt Ravnestad and President of Terra Markets Odd Arne Pedersen. In 2007 Terra Markets was involved in the Terra Securities scandal, resulting in the subsidiary Terra Securities losing its concession for brokerage on November 28, 2007 and filing for bankruptcy the same day.
