Terra-X is a fictional character in Amalgam Comics, a metafictional comic publisher and collaboration between Marvel Comics and DC Comics. She is mentioned in Assassins #1 (April 1996), but makes her first full appearance in Exciting X-Patrol #1 (June 1997). Terra-X is a combination of DC's Terra and Marvel's Terrax the Tamer.
[edit] Fictional character biography
Terra-X is briefly mentioned in Assassins #1, where she is named as a former member of the Mutant Titans (a combination of Marvel's New Mutants and DC's Teen Titans). She is allegedly the mutant daughter of Dare The Terminator.
Terra-X joins the X-Patrol in Exciting X-Patrol #1 (June 1997), but eventually betrays the team to their enemy X-Stroke the Eliminator. After the X-Patrol manages to defeat X-Stroke, Terra-X escapes to Zenosha, where she is attacked and killed by the alien Brood. Terra-X is later resurrected by Brother Brood, and becomes a willing member of his cult. Although sent to attack the X-Patrol as a whole, her main target is Beastling, her former love-interest. Terra-X is stopped from killing Jericho when Elastigirl flies into her ear-canal and put Terra-X out of action.
[edit] Powers and abilities
Terra-X is a mutant with the ability to psionically manipulate molecules of rock and earth. She can also transform her body into a rocklike substance and "join with the earth". Her mutant abilities were amplified after she was implanted with one of the Brood aliens .
Terra-X is also skilled in the use of her long-handled axe.
