Teresa Ruiz

M. Teresa Ruiz (June 28, 1974) is an American Democratic Party politician, who has been serving in the New Jersey State Senate since January 8, 2008, where she represents the 29th Legislative District.
In the Senate, Ruiz serves on the Education Committee (as Vice-Chair), on the Budget Committee and Appropriations Committee and the Economic Growth Committee.[1]
Ruiz received a B.A. from Drew University in English.[1]

Each of the forty districts in the New Jersey Legislature has one representative in the New Jersey Senate and two members in the New Jersey General Assembly. The other representatives from the 29th District for the 2008-2009 Legislative Session are:
- Assemblyman Alberto Coutinho, and
- Assemblyman L. Grace Spencer
