Teresa Lourenco

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Teresa Lourenco is a Trinidadian model. She was born in 1981 in Trinidad. In 1994, she moved with her mother to Hamburg in Germany. In her spare time she often rollerskated around the city centre. It was there that, at the age of 14, she was discovered by a modelling scout.

Lourenco signed a contract with Hamburg agency Mega-Models, and went to Paris. In 1995, John Galliano engaged her for his Dior shows. Teresa then won the International Design Award as the best new generation model. Today, Lourenco workes closely with American designer Tommy Hilfiger.

With the money she earns from modelling, she supports her brother Kevin and her mother in Hamburg. She currently lives in New York and phones her family every day.
