Terenci Moix

Terenci Moix, (real name Ramón Moix) (Barcelona, 5 January 1942 - Barcelona, 2 April de 2003) was a Spanish Catalan writer who wrote in Spanish and in Catalan.
He had a self-taught and anarchist education. His first work was published in 1968. La torre de los vicios capitales. His works criticised the values of his time, specially during Francisco Franco's period. He wrote in several newspapers: Tele-Exprés, Tele-Estel, El Correo Catalán, Destino, Nuevos Fotogramas, Serra d'Or and El País. He was a declared homosexual and participated in lots of TV gathering. He died of lung emphysema due to his addiction to tobacco.
