Terek (Russian: Терек , 43°29′N, 44°08′E) is a town in Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia and an administrative center of Tersky District.

It was founded in 1876 on bank of Terek River in 59 km of Nalchik and granted a town status in 1967.

Population: 20,100 (2005 Est.).
