The music for this song was composed by the Late Madan Mohan (director) and recreated by his son Sanjeev Kohli and is sung by Roop Kumar Rathod and Lata Mangeshkar. The lyrics were scripted by lyricist-scriptwriter Javed Akhtar.

The song is the last and second last song of the movie. The song lyrics is kind of a summary or central idea of the movie. The video is made beautifully in the court. Also the song contain scenes when Veer and Zaara change from old to young and again old. The last song is also Tere Liye but with a change lyrics and same music.
