[edit] French or Armenian?

Agop Terzan is Armenian, not French. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.166.226.83 (talk) 23:42, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

I find no references to support this claim, while there are many to support his being French (Do a google search). Please provide a reference to back up your claim if you believe it to be true. WilliamKF (talk) 03:57, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Perhaps the Astronaut by the same name is Armenian? WilliamKF (talk) 04:00, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

At least he is "French-Armenian". His first name Agop is actually spelled Hagop, and Hagop is the Armenian form of Jacob. Also, his last name Terzan, and be easily mistaken with Terzian. The overwhelming majoiry of "ian" last names are Armenian. Finally, his is the first person listed as "famous French-Armenians" on this other Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_French-Armenians. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.134.18.220 (talk) 01:56, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

The link provided is for the Astronaut Agop Terzan. I believe there are two different people, one an astronaut and the other an astronomer. We really need to get some citation to back up one or the other. WilliamKF (talk) 17:23, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
I've put the article back to being just French since I have found ample sources to cite this fact and none to support his being Armenian. The above arguments while perhaps true, would represent original research and thus should be rejected until we can find a legitimate source to cite. WilliamKF (talk) 22:03, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
