Tepsi Baytinijan

Tepsi Baytinijan is a very popular Iraqi casserole.[1] The main ingredient of the dish is eggplant (baytinijan), accompanied with meatballs, tomatoes, onions and garlic, which should be sliced and fried in a pan before placing in a baking dish. On top of the egglant, potato slices are placed and ready to be cooked.[2]

Like many other Iraqi dishes it is usually served with rice, along with salad and pickles.
