The District of Tepelenë (Albanian: Rrethi i Tepelenës) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania. It has a population of 32,000 (2004 estimate), and an area of 817 km². It is in the south of the country, in Gjirokastër County, and its capital is Tepelenë. Other places in this district include Memaliaj.

Tepelenë is well known as a source of reliable bottled water. It is also known for a visit by Lord Byron of Great Britain in the 19th century. Such was the impression made on him that he writes a poem, titled "Mother Albania" depicting the natural beauty and the loyalty and fierceness of Albanian warriors.
