Teofisto Guingona III

Teofisto L. Guingona III or TG, (born April 19, 1959) is a Filipino politician. Beginning in 2004, he has been elected to two terms in the House of Representatives of the Philippines, as the Representative from the Second District of Bukidnon. He is currently a member of the Nactionalista Party, and affiliated with the Genuine Opposition.
Guingona III maintains an official blog, NAKUPO - Empowering the Filipino Consumer!. It initially focused on the privatization of the National Power Corporation, but has expanded its scope to a general advocacy of Filipino consumer rights. The blog also tackles issues such as food security and bringing down the cost of telecommunications services.[1]
Guingona III also contributes to another blog, The Opposite of Apathy, together with San Juan City mayor JV Ejercito, former Representative Gilbert Remulla, lawyer Adel Tamano and professor Danton Remoto.
His father, Teofisto Guingona, Jr., was the 13th Vice President of the Philippines, serving from 2001 to 2004.
