[edit] James Blake

It looks as thought you removed the Personal Life section of the James Blake article a few days ago (15:37, 28 October 2007 to be exact). Presumably, it was on accident, so I added the section back. Let me know if you have any concerns with that. Jairuscobb 09:08, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:AnaRolandGarrMCSC.png

Thanks for uploading Image:AnaRolandGarrMCSC.png. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia 16:13, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 2006 Australian Open - Mixed Doubles

A tag has been placed on 2006 Australian Open - Mixed Doubles, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. [edit] Patricia Tarabini

Hi. You recently tagged some material in the Patricia Tarabini article with {{Citationneeded}}.

I would encourage you to take a look at WP:BLP#Sources, the 2nd sub-section. The clear policy is to delete such material on sight, without hesitation, in the absence of a reliable source. Since a quick google search produced nothing that confirmed the assertion, I deleted it. The lack of sources and the article history suggests to me that that material was vandalism and false, inserted by an anonymous IP user.

If in fact this is a rumor in the tennis world, we (Wikipedia) still need a reliable source of some kind before it can be included in the article. Studerby 20:31, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Template:5RoundTemplate

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Template:5RoundTemplate, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Template:5RoundTemplate fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

CSD7 and the title is not proper even for redirects. Will manually move.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Template:5RoundTemplate, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 13:43, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:HorizonAmfleetViewliner.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:82516A.jpg. The copy called Image:82516A.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 02:15, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:82064Panel.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:82064Panel.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:05, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] An important letter

Dear roads editor,

You may have noticed some changes at WP:USRD lately. Some of them, like the cleanup templates and the stub templates, have been astounding and great. Unfortunately, others have been disturbing.

This has become evidenced by the departure of a few prominent editors at USRD, a few RFC's, and much fighting among USRD editors.

After the second RFC, many of us found the opportunity to take a step away from Wikipedia for a while--as a self-imposed wikibreak, or possibly on vacation.

The result of such introspection was that many of us were placing ourselves in a "walled garden" and on a self-imposed pedestal of authority over the roads department. Also, we were being hostile to a few users who were not agreeing with us.

In fact, IRC has been the main incarnation of this "walled garden." Decisions have been made there to conduct grudges and prejudices against a few valued USRD users with poor justification.

For this, we have come to apologize. We have come to ask your forgiveness.

In addition to this, we hope to work as one USRD team from now on and to encourage cooperation instead of the promotion of interests.

All users are welcome to collaborate on IRC, the newsletter, or anywhere else at USRD.

In the future, please feel free to approach us about any issues you may have.

Regards,

[edit] Merge proposal for 2003 Tennis Masters Cup Doubles

Hi there. I have proposed that 2003 Tennis Masters Cup Doubles be merged into 2003 Tennis Masters Cup. [edit] Tennis player names

Ciao! Thanks for very good and in-time work on tennis results articles. Just a note: try to use correct spelling of names (Tomáš Berdych instead of Tomas Berdych, Carlos Moyà instead of "Carlos Moya", Guillermo Cañas instead of "Canas" etc). I understand it's hard for an English speaker to understand the difference, but I can swear you that "Moyà" or "Cañas" is something very differently pronounced from "Moya" or "Canas"... Anyway their Wikipedia articles are in the correct spelling so let's maintain it when possible. Ciao and again compliments for good work. --Attilios 09:11, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

If you feel the deletions are appropriate, no further action is necessary. Thanks for your attention. --MZMcBride 22:00, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of 2007 Hansol Korea Open Tennis Championships, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://wtaworld.com/showthread.php?p=11705961. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

[edit] 2007 Tennis Channel Open - Men's Singles

Hello Tennisuser123, I thought I'd drop you a note to let you know I have redirected the article above, because it was only one sentence, provided no contextual information, and could easily be incorporated into the current article, 2007 Tennis Channel Open. Individual event finals don't always need their own page, especially when the main article is not long, and the information can be added to them easily. Hope this explains why it was redirected. Cheers, ArielGold 13:13, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Sulfan Khalfan

A tag has been placed on Sulfan Khalfan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. brewcrewer (yada, yada) 17:57, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of The Marco Polo Club

A tag has been placed on The Marco Polo Club, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Speedy deletion of 2008 French Open - Mixed Doubles

A tag has been placed on 2008 French Open - Mixed Doubles requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. [edit] Marko Đoković

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Marko Đoković, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Logo costa.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo costa.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:16, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
