[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Kel Dor.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Kel Dor.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] J&J's Sandwich Shop
Sorry. But your article does not explain why it is notable for inclusion. The relevant criteria are outlined in WP:CORP. If notability cannot be established soon, it will be deleted as a WP:COI or promotional page. And please sign your posts with 4 tildas ~~~~ Thanks, Danski14(talk) 02:00, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- With regards to your second question, anyone can see all the new pages at Special:Newpages. New page patrollers (WP:PP) such as myself check new pages for inclusion. There are also software programs and scripts available to help established editors check new pages and tag them for speedy deletion (see WP:CSD) if necessary. Danski14(talk) 02:04, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

- Haha, thanks.. Yes, basically... an important point is that information needs to be verifiable by independent sources. Otherwise, it is considered original research, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. If you can show coverage by independent sources, you are well on your way to showing it is notable. Danski14(talk) 02:13, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RE: Edit Count
The edit counter I use is can be found here. Other edit counter things can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject edit counters, but I doubt you will find any better ones. Cheers Danski14(talk) 05:09, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Stubs
Hello. I noticed that you recently marked the article on Idaho National Laboratory as a stub. A stub is an article with just a couple sentences of information, so this article really isn't one. If you think the article is too short, you can add {{expand}} to the top of the article. Happy editing! —Remember the dot (talk) 21:47, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Signature
If you want to dress up your signature, go to the "My preferences" link on the top of the page. Under "User Profile" you can put HTML into the signature field, and check the "Raw signature" box. You have to play around with it, it's a little flaky. CitiCat 18:47, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Go for it! :)
Go ahead and rip it off, dear Tennekis! :) The only thing I'd like to ask, is that you use a color scheme of your own; my pinky one is very dear to me :) Let me know if you need my help adapting it to your userpage, k, dear? Have a beautiful day! Love, Phaedriel - 20:10, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
- Well, you can have a look at the code of my sig to get an idea ;) Frankly, just get a good table of HMTL color codes and start experimenting! It's the best way to find "your" touch ;) Have a nice day! Phaedriel - 05:33, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Name Deletion in Brian Ching
oops... well... I don't agree that statement. He is not a Chinese. If he has a Chinese name, so Beckham should add "貝克漢姆" after his name. I am a Chinese people, don't reject my Chinese identity. And I would add discussion about that in Brian Ching article. If my statement is correct, his Chinese name would be deleted. KyleRGiggs 16:04, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Info box images
I foxed the problem on the Sweet Weaponry article for future references with images you dont need to add any formating ie the [[ 300 px etc just the image name as the info boxes have this already built in. Gnangarra 17:40, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry I wasn't around when you needed help with that image, sweetie - but with Gnangarra's awesome intervention, everything looks just fine now. I'll return to my normal levels of editing soon, hopefully - so please, just whistle my way if you ever need a hand ;) Have a beautiful day! Love, Phaedriel - 20:27, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Malak_Jawless.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Malak_Jawless.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia Talk 03:18, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Encylopedia Dramatica
A tag has been placed on Encylopedia Dramatica, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD A7.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk to me) 19:50, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hello – I'm the admin who deleted both the article and the image. Encyclopedia Dramatica is protected from creation/recreation. The only reason you were able to create the article because you misspelled 'encyclopedia'. As an established editor, you should know about this ArbCom case, which led to the permanent ban. Links to and content from ED are specifically banned from Wikipedia and can be deleted on sight by any admin. I'm sorry, but an article on ED doesn't belong here, and for a very good reason. If you have questions after reviewing the ArbCom case, feel free to ask. - KrakatoaKatie 20:41, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:EncylopediaDramaticaLogo.gif
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:EncylopediaDramaticaLogo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:EmpiresAlbumArt400px.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:EmpiresAlbumArt400px.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:04, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Not vandalism
How is this vandalism? The infobox was used for the Roman Republic while the topic of the article was about the constitution of the Roman republic. Do we put the infobox for the United states on the constitution of the United states so why should the Constitution of the Roman Republic have ex country template on it?--71.170.106.104 02:32, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
