Tenniel Evans

Tenniel Evans (born May 17, 1926 in Nairobi, Kenya) is a British actor.

Educated at Christ's Hospital, he is best known for his long-running role on The Navy Lark. One of his best friends was the actor Jon Pertwee, who helped him get cast in the Doctor Who story Carnival of Monsters.

His other appearances include Big Breadwinner Hog, The Two of Us, Emergency Ward 10, Inspector Morse, The Citadel, Yes Minister and several roles in Z Cars.

His daughter Serena Evans is also an actress. Evans is a direct descendent of Isaac Evans, brother of Mary Ann Evans otherwise known as the author George Eliot.[1]
