State Route 185 is an east to west secondary highway in Gibson County, Tennessee that is 7.67 miles (12.3 km) long. Its eastern terminus is just outside of Bradford, Tennessee at TN 54. Its western terminus is in the city of Dyer at Old U.S. Route 45W. The highway is also called Poplar Grove Road.
Recently, it was discovered that State Route 185 seemed to disappear at the old U.S. Route 45W intersection. Research by TDOT discovered that when the new four-lane U.S. Route 45W was built, several signs were not updated. State Route 185 actually proceeds north along the old U.S. Route 45W highway through Dyer and then west along the old State Route 77 highway until it terminates into U.S. Route 45W proper. TDOT will be updating the signs in the near future.
