Ten Feet Off The Ground
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Ten Feet Off The Ground" is a song by Richard M. Sherman & Robert B. Sherman, commonly referred to as the "Sherman Brothers". Originally from the musical motion picture: The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band which premiered in 1968, the song was famously covered by Louis Armstrong that same year.
The song is about the feeling which music gives to the Family Band. It figuratively lifts them "Ten Feet Off The Ground".

Years earlier, in 1937, Armstrong recorded a song entitled, "On A Little Bamboo Bridge" which was written by songwriters Archie Fletcher and Al Sherman. Al Sherman was the father of Robert & Richard Sherman.
