Ten12 Records is a Brooklyn-based outsider electronic, break beat and experimental [[record label].
Ten12 is currently focused on facilitating collaboration between new experimental recording artists with the few remaining and overlooked early –stage funk and soul pioneers to foster unique recordings that identify the link and dialog between electronic sample-based recordings and its analog roots. Currently based in Brooklyn, this once nomadic label currently has pods in Japan, Australia, San Francisco, and the Netherlands. Ten12 Records releases have been with various artists including the Skull Snaps , the Audible Doctor, Underdog, Monk-One, Steinski, Unagi, Discolobos, Arecee, Leslie & The Lys, ten12 systems, PaperCrossbow, the Diplomats, among others.
Started by Charles Lazar in a friends apartment, Ten12 Records roots reach back to 2000 in San Francisco, CA at 1012 Capp Street in San Francisco's Mission District .
