The Tennessee statutes call them state highways, and they are commonly known as such, at least in East Tennessee. Gazpacho 04:16, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Apparently there's some subtlety, since DOT calls them state routes. Maybe the pavement is the highway and the set of alignments is the route. Move request withdrawn. Gazpacho 04:41, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
