Wikipedia talk:Templates for deletion/Biography infoboxes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Because the deletion comprehensively is contemplated and this could be the wholesale removal of a substantial amount of data from Wikipedia and because an editor has made an internal link to this page, I thought it prudent to begin the discussion of this matter that might be important enough to merit a special page for itself. I have voted in the project area. drboisclair 21:13, 24 September 2005 (UTC)

This should not be in Wikipedia space and should be moved to the discussion on Tfd. Type O Spud 00:31, 25 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Why Not Delete Infoboxes on a Case By Case Basis?

Both sides in this debate have valuable issues that need to be addressed. If the infobox in any particular article is unsightly and detracts from the article, then it should be eliminated. Editing wars can be avoided by the use of the discussion page as well as a spirit of compromise. I who believe that the infoboxes should not generally be deleted, do feel that unsightly ones should be deleted. drboisclair 18:40, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
