As part of my ongoing project, to develop a series of articles on decorations and medals of the UK and Commonwealth, I created this infobox. Almost immediately afterwards I stumbled upon the vastly superior Template:Infobox Military Award which I have used ever since. In the interests of general housekeeping I propose that my creation is deleted. Xdamrtalk 20:42, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- Speedy delete Only contributor has stated it was created by mistake and asked for deletion, so CSD G7 applies. Tagged {{db-authora}}. --ais523 07:44, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Trivial - just an image tag
- Delete, not a proper use of template space, plus fair use images in templates (especially when there's nothing else there) isn't allowed by the policy. - Bobet 14:54, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

This template has gone from potentially useful to completely insane in size, people's point of view on what makes a person significant in the free software or open source communities are the only factors for which these people are being listed - at one point I had tried listing all the people who had been awarded the Free Software Foundation's Award for the Advancement of Free Software, but that didn't take. Now it just seems to be a mess of random people vaguely involved in the past or present with something open source or free software related. I don't think this can be saved in it's current form. - Comment If you wanted a template for people who had won FSF Awards, you should have named it somelike "FSF Award Winners". - Lentower 18:52, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- Keep The template has become an interesting way to explore the diversity of the FOSS movement. The process on the talk page, for including and not including people, has been working. There are templates with far more entries on them. The template should be renamed "FOSS Key Figures" - "celeb-ness" is something quite different. The template might want to be enhanced with categories:, developer, entrepreneur, activist, founder, etc.; though some people fit in more then one of these. - Lentower 18:53, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- Keep even though I'm not listed, *sniff*. Then again, Len Tower isn't listed either, so go figure. RussNelson 20:04, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. The criteria and possible choices for inclusion are too vague and varied; this template will inevitably either include too many or omit too many; it is far too hard to pinpoint exactly what makes someone deserve to appear; and there is far too much variance, it is linking together people who are connected by only the most tenuous of reasons. Much better to make it several templates with clear criteria, such as the previously suggested FSF award winners, or restrict it to "FOSS advocates"; even another of "Leading FOSS developers," although that may be again too wide. - Delete. It's inherently POV and hardly useful. --Abu Badali 22:29, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

No longer usable due to MTV.com redesign. 207.67.145.181 06:00, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- Comment. Can it be modified?--Esprit15d (talk ¤ contribs) 14:20, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- Delete and convert to VH1 - The redesign of the site using a flash interface makes MTV very difficult to use as a resource. I know that even on my computer and high-speed connection, their pages take (up to) several minutes and a half to load, and sometimes time out or simply fail. My suggestion would be to begin using VH1 as an artist-reference site, as it loads quickly and seems stable (and should pose no problem in conversion) -- Huntster T • @ • C 17:09, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

- Comment I've now created Template:VH1artist which can be used to replace this one. If desired (and/or approved), I'll convert the other (apparently few) articles which use this template to VH1. -- Huntster T • @ • C 18:14, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

It's only an image of the Beaconhouse logo, and was created by hoax perpetrator Asadaleem12@hotmail.com. Danny Lilithborne 03:35, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- Delete, possibly speedy. The name suggests this should be at sfd, but it's not a stub template... What it is, however, is a logo which is only licenced for use on the school's article and nowhere else, so this can probably be speedied, no? Grutness...wha? 22:02, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
