Temporary Account For Me Till I Manage To Get The Account I Lost Back

May Virtual Steve, Yamla read this page and talk to me or any mod?, i have an ordeal i need to sort out. I did not want to make this account but to sort out my problems it seems a good idea.

[edit] Re: Helping you out

Okay, well, it certainly doesn't look good. I'm not going to give up on you, though, Gaogier. I'm going to try and give you as much help as possible.

First off, I guess you need to understand WP:OWN, as the admin said. As much as you think WP:SEGA and the articles you wrote are your projects and articles, technically they aren't because of the GFDL, and you can't take possession of "your stuff". I know how you can feel about some articles, I feel that way about Crush 40, since it was my first article and I saved it from AfD (now it's a GA nominee lol). What you need to do is prove to the admin that you're worthy of keeping, but that nothing here is "yours", even if you created it. By the way, it's only one project now (sorry, but I MfD'd WikiProject Random and WikiProject Microsoft, the only member of the Microsoft Project said that I might as well delete it, and the people who reviewed the Random project thought it was your personal fancruft). It took me a little while to understand that concept, too.

By the way, if you didn't catch it, I am User:Red Phoenix instead of User:Redphoenix526. If you want to see why, click here. Basically, I usurped an account that had no GFDL edits through a legitimate process. You can use me as a reference for some of the works you've done and can continue to do, because The Sega Project wouldn't be anything without you, and we're 32 members strong now (though just Fairfieldfencer and I are active members lol).

Still, given how inactive The Sega Project is, yes, you kind of did run the project. We don't have many active members, and you've always been a positive contributor (beyond the image fair use issue before I even joined the project).

As for the sockpuppetry, probably the most damming thing is you redirecting User:Chicken7 to your page. Out of curiosity, what was the point in that? Kind of seems like a pointless and dumb act to me. That makes Chicken7 a sockpuppet of you, even if that wasn't the intent and he was retired. Obviously you can apologize for the not logging in with the IP issue, and as I said, you can mention what I told you to do if you realize you're not logged in: just log in and sign your name below it.

Speaking of IP's, is one of your houses on a dialup connection? That would be why you've got a lot of IP's: whenever you log on with a dialup connection, the computer doesn't have a fixed IP: you're assigned a different one each time you log on with the same first couple of digits identifying your region.

You might want to note you're indefinitely blocked, not banned. Yep, there's a difference, though it's not much of one.

Other than that, I guess I've said everything on your talk page that you need to do... best of luck, and if the admin needs a reference, I would be very willing to help. You might not believe this, but since the first day you were blocked, I was studying your case and all of the accusations. I think that makes me kind of an "expert" on your situation lol. Anyway, best of luck, and if you get all your wikipedia communication cut, you can always contact me at my email on my user page. [edit] Re:

Ah, your reply explained a little more we can use. I think the way you're talking to the admin, you're not exactly making things clear. As I said, I think the admin's under the impression that you think you own these articles and projects. You need to make it clear to the admin that that's a misunderstanding. You also need to show how you can still be a helpful person to Wikipedia. Talk about the good faith edits you have made and how you plan to expand on them. For example, you could show them The Sega Project. Or you could show them some before and after bits of how you've built an article.

Show the admin that you know now what the right thing to do is in situations like the one you were in with User:Doktor Wilhelm (for note to the admin, there is a space). Explain the IP situation and the bad faith edit of someone else, and explain how that one is not a sock puppet. Explain how you know what to do now if you realize that you're not signed in.

As for Chicken7, um, yeah, that was a dumb thing to do. His page is protected now because you redirected it to your page. Technically, you're not supposed to use Chicken7's account information. That's called usurping his account, whether he let you do it or not. Apologize to the admin and tell the person you realize that was the wrong thing to do.

I guess this sounds a bit awkward, but you need to show the admin that you're still useful to Wikipedia and you won't repeat your mistakes. Good luck, and if you need me to write you a message, I can try (I think I'd get pointed out for that, though, I write in American English and I am a bit of a stickler for capitals and punctuation when I type lol). [edit] Gaogier, if you're reading...

I've been helping to appeal your case to VirtualSteve's talk page, but he would really like your input before he does anything. This could be your chance to have the block on you removed if you're willing to apologize and you are legitimately sorry. Read the thread and make some comments there, and I recommend you use your TemporaryGaogier account so you can identify yourself. Good luck and best wishes, and I'm glad I could help you.
