[edit] Location

The station will be located on the "Grauer Lands" on eastern Sea Island, along the Canada Line branch serving Vancouver International Airport (YVR), and will serve the residential (Burkeville), office, and light industrial area at the eastern end of Sea Island. The station will also provide the most direct access to Iona Island and Iona and McDonald Beach Regional Parks in the northwest, and to the Airport's south terminal in the southwest.

Templeton and Sea Island Centre Stations will both be located at grade (at ground level) to allow for the future construction of an elevated aircraft taxiway over the Canada Line guideway.

[edit] Station features

According to YVR, Templeton Station will allow passengers of YVR to check in their tickets and bags.

[edit] Funding

The Airport Branch of the Canada Line, known as 'YVR Line' according to the Canada Line Website, will be funded by YVR (Vancouver International Airport Authority) including the stations.

[edit] Construction Status

The construction permit for the Templeton Station has been approved in July, 2007. Construction of the Station's foundation is currently underway.
