Temple Square Chorale
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Temple Square Chorale is the training school for incoming members of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Formed in 1999 under the direction of associate choir director Mack Wilberg, the Chorale serves as both a music theory masterclass and performing ensemble. Meeting twice weekly, the Chorale term is three months, with the final weeks combining written exams, personal vocal evaluation, and the performance of a choral masterwork. Although membership numbers vary, average attendance is between seventy and eighty members.
