Tempe Marketplace is an outdoor shopping mall located in the city of Tempe, Arizona. The mall was developed by Vestar Development Company and officially opened on September 28, 2007.[2] The mall is located on the Southwest corner of Loop 101 and Loop 202 Red Mountain in Tempe near the borders of Scottsdale and Mesa.

Tempe Marketplace features over 120 retailers, restaurants and entertainment venues in two settings. The larger big-box retailers including Target, JCPenney, Ross and Best Buy are located on the outer ring of the mall.

Smaller shops are located in a central grouping of buildings called The District. The District features outdoor fireplaces, lighting elements, water features and a 300 seat amphitheater with stage for bands & performances along with a large LED video screen display. Harkins Theatres' second Cine Capri theater is at the Northeast end of The District. It is currently the largest movie theater in Arizona, featuring 16 screens and 604 seats.

There is a wide variety of restaurants including California Pizza Kitchen, Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ, Cadillac Ranch and King's Fish House along with smaller eateries such as Paradise Bakery & Cafe, Chipotle, Cheeburger Cheeburger and Coldstone.[3]

The Mesa Riverview shopping development is approximately 2 miles east of Tempe Marketplace, on the other side of Loop 101, which is the closest boundary between Tempe and Mesa.
