Temeljna obrestna mera

Temeljna obrestna mera (in Slovene), abbreviated TOM, stood for the basic interest rate. It was used in Slovenia to reflect the current inflation. It had been quite common to bind loan rates to TOM in Slovenia because of relatively high and variable inflation in the history. TOM used to be calculated by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia
