[edit] History
Appearing in the episode "Batgirl Begins Pt. 1", Pamela Isley (who would become Poison Ivy) secretly hired him to take down those businesses that disrespect nature and ran afoul of Batman. When Temblor later found out that it was Pamela and Barbara Gordon (who would later become Batgirl) who had hired him, and that they had no money to pay for his jobs, he attacked them until Batman arrived. During the fight, plant chemicals fell on Pamela (beginning her transformation into Poison Ivy) and Temblor is defeated.
He later reappears as one of the many criminals loose in Gotham in an issue of The Batman Strikes!, Waiting to Pounce, when Batman is forced to fight him after numerous criminals escape Arkham Asylum due to Catwoman.
Temblor later makes a cameo as one of the many villains incarcerated by vigilante Rumor. During the villain fight against Batman and Robin, he was accidentally frozen by Mr. Freeze.
[edit] Inspirations
He appears to be based on the Spider-Man villain The Shocker, who, coincidentally, Cummings also voiced in Spider-Man (1994 TV series). Although, Quakemaster--a Bat-foe who debuted in a DC Giant, in the late 1970's--might also have contributed to the inspiration.
[edit] Notable Powers
Like the Shocker, Temblor uses specially made metallic gloves which have two yellow circles, that, when activated and slammed into the ground, can create small earthquakes. Temblor can also create powerful soundwaves by clapping his hands together.
