[edit] Telford College of Arts and Technology
is a Further Education college in Telford, England in the United Kingdom. It operates from one main site and many in-company training sites and Community-based courses spread out across Shropshire and the whole of the United Kingdom.
Telford College of Arts and Technology was established originally over 100 years ago and has a national reputation for providing excellent service with quality education and training. The College mission is "To meet the needs and aspirations of individuals, communities and employers for high quality vocational and adult learning".
In 2007 Telford college celebrated the prestigious Queens Anniversary Award with a visit to Buckingham Palace on Thursday February 14 2008, to meet HRH Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh.
In 2006 the College received top grades after an OFSTED inspection at a level very few other general purpose Colleges have received. A Summary of grades awarded.

- It has over 16,000 students: 1200 full-time, 15,000 part-time .
- Attracts many overseas students.
- Widest range of vocational courses in the area.
- The portfolio of courses includes NVQs, professional, preparatory degree and tailor-made programmes.
- Successfully prepares students over 16 for employment and higher education.
- Courses combine practical skills with theoretical studies.
- Students at present include school leavers, individuals taking a second chance at education as well as multi-national companies.

The College was previously Walker Technical College and was based in Oakengates, Shropshire, its' success was the cause of a move a large campus on the outskirts of Wellington which became the part of new town of Telford. Firm financial planning by the College and Governors allowed a 5 year period of development to create a modern environment which, with hard working staff provide top quality educational provision to a wide range of students. The College is also known as "TCAT" and "Telford College" although not to be mixed up with the College of the same name in Edinburgh.
