Telmarc Cable was founded on June 2, 1987 by a group of Engineers and Executives who pooled their resources together to market telecommunication products and services, which they believe, would eventually develop as a true “sunrise” industry. In a short period of three years, it has made its mark in providing Leading Edge Technology especially in Satellite TVRO systems. It spearheaded the usage of Satellite TVRO’s for MATV and CATV systems.
The Company contributed the following FIRSTS:
- The first CATV system with Satellite TVRO is Telmarc CATV of Alaminos and San Pablo, Laguna.
- The first Hotel MATV System with Satellite TVRO was Westin Philippine Plaza.
- The first condominium MATV System with Satellite TVRO was Ayala Land’s One Salcedo Place Condominium.
- The first hotel with the Interactive Television Network and Pay-per-View System is the Hotel Inter-Continental Manila
- The first Cable TV in Alaminos and San Pablo, Laguna and Taytay and Angono, Rizal
- The first cable community channel in Southern Tagalog with the biggest number of TV programs produced locally.
The Company Previously engaged in the following:
- Designs, supplies, install and maintain CATV / MATV, Interactive TV Networks (ITN) and Satellite TVRO system as well as allied telecommunications products.
- Intelligent Television Network (ITN): a two-way interactive information and guest service between televisions in guestrooms and the central host computer.
- Background Music (BMG) and Paging systems configured to deliver AM / FM and / or prerecorded audio programming with emergency paging options.
