Telerik Sitefinity CMS is a web-based development platform for construction and management of websites, community portals, forums, blog, and intranets. Sitefinity offers an open architecture that allows easy integration and of third-party ASP.NET controls and pluggable modules. Sitefinity CMS is developed by Telerik and built with ASP.NET, C# and Microsoft SQL Server. Besides Microsoft SQL Server, Sitefinity also works under Oracle 8+ and MySQL. The most recent version is Sitefinity 3.2[1]. There are two editions and they are both available as downloadable software at http://www.sitefinity.com.

Sitefinity Standard Edition offers advanced CMS capabilities, such as workflow, versioning, multilingual support, unlimited CMS user accounts.[2]

Sitefinity Community Edition is a scaled down version of the Standard Edition which is developed for building online communities, blogs, and forums.[3]

Sitefinity is a product of Telerik, a leading vendor of User Interface (UI) components and development tools for ASP.NET and Windows Forms, and .NET Reporting solutions.[4] It is headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria and has over 70 employees. Telerik was founded in 2002 by Svetozar Georgiev, Vassil Terziev, Boyko Iaramov and Hristo Kosev and is a privately-held company with offices in Boston, Massachusetts and Sofia, Bulgaria.[5]
