Telepizza is one of the largest pizza shops in Spanish speaking countries. It was founded in 1987 and later became the leading pizza business in Spain and the second largest fast food restaurant in Spain, after McDonald's. The company had factories in Guadalajara, Barcelona, Móstoles, Alcobendas, but were later sold and all the production is made at a factory in Daganzo de Arriba, Madrid. The factories produce the pizza base and then distribute them through the different stores.

Telepizza was born from the project of Leopoldo Fernández Pujals who, understanding the popularity of home delivery in the United States, especially pizzas, decided to risk and launch a private business on his own. In 1986 he inaugurated the first Telepizza in the Barrio del Pilar neighbourhood in Madrid and in time, the chain grew throughout the city. In 1996 Telepizza had become the leading company in home deliveries of pizzas with 233 stores in Spain and openings in Portugal, Poland, Chile and Mexico.
