For Palestine there is a reserved Country Code: 970, but this code is rarely used, and most Palestinians use the Israeli telecommunication system. The phone number schemes given below are part of the Israeli system and are available only by using the 972 code.

02 2XX XXXX  - Jerusalem & southern West Bank area (East Jerusalem, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Hebron)

Note - The Israeli authorities assigned the 059 prefix exclusively to the Palestinian Jawwal cellular communication company which operates in the Palestinian Territories. Other prefixes are used both in Israel and the Palestinian territories.
