Telecare is an American TV channel available to Cablevision and Verizion FiOS TV subscribers in proximity of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, New York. It is focused on Christian family values and as such it has many age-oriented programs. Although it has many religious programs, it has one secular news broadcast, LI News Tonight, which features news and issues relevant to Long Islanders. Its studio is located in Uniondale, New York. In addition Telecare has also been known to show many local high-school sporting events such football, baskteball, and lacrosse. In addition to its own local programming, many times of the day it simulcasts programming from EWTN, which isn't available as a full time channel on Cablevision systems in the area. It also carries programming from Catholic TV.

[edit] Commercials

Unlike most religious broadcasters, Telecare heavily carries commercials for the local Catholic high schools and universities on Long Island, such as Molloy College, Kellenberg Memorial High School, St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School and Mercy McGann High School.

Telecare also shows public service announcements on various issues such as adoption and alcoholism.
