This article was created by redirecting the different Sikan and Washshukanni articles to the new Tell el Fakhariya article. The short information provided in each of the old articles was reprinted here, with some editing.

Until prospective future discoveries are made, Tell el Fakhariya is unavoidable as the best suggestion for Washukanni, and is referred to everywhere in the literature. Excavations in the Khabur river valley the past decades have ruled out much of the other candidates previously suggested. --JFK 14:18, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
