Ill say this, ive seen nearly every episode of trek since TNG started, and ive never heard this explanation. What is the source of this information and should it be presented as cannon? Carterhawk 08:06, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
This entire paragraph (Explanation) should be removed. Not only was this explanation *never* forwarded in any canon source that I am aware of (which I dare say is nearly all of them), but it appears here: [1]. I recognize this article since I wrote the first version of it over at Memory Alpha. A subsequent editor added everything after 'Explanation' there first; this was later removed when it was discovered to possibly violate the copyright of the site mentioned above. So this section is wrong for two reasons - noncanon and copyvio - and I recommend its removal. -- Balok 01:32, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion (2008)
I would like to ask the individual who suggested and tagged this article for deletion to provide an explanation as to why this article should be deleted. While I hold no interest in this article, I just feel it would be unfair to propose an article for deletion and not give any reason as to why. I believe I understand why as this article seems to be primarily the make up of Original Research but in all fairness, an explanation would probably be appropriate.
