Talk:Teledildonics
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Found an external link to the 'cyber glove' on another page and added it here. Not sure if this qualifies as a reliable citation, though, so I left the "citation needed." Also capitalized the link into 'Cyber Glove.' Anonymous
Fuckingmachines I´m removing the link to that site, come on guys that´s just porn. Not entirely sure this is what you're after - but I thought I'd add these things as they seem to suggest that Teledildonics is more than hypothetical - its becoming actuality Melody
"However, there are as yet no verifiable reports of haptic technology being used for sex."
- Unless, of course, someone here knows better? Have any haptic researchers taken the glove home, and hooked up with their sweetie over the Net? Please, let us know! -- Karada 23:20, 10 Aug 2003 (UTC)

And here's a site devoted to it: http://www.slashdong.org/ K K 08:49, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Should this article mention that the word was coined by Ted Nelson?
[edit] Bill O'Reilly?
Should Bill O'Reilly really be on the "see also?"
no i think it should be removed. If no one comes up with a valid justification in a couple of days, I'll remove it. I think this may be a prank. [edit] ok i removed it. [/edit]
[edit] "direct and mutual human stimulation" not required
Removed the text As they do not require direct and mutual human stimulation, they are not considered true teledildonics. as direct, mutual and human are all not required in the general sense of the term teledildonics. Phone sex is teledildonic tehcnology, albeit low-tech, and there is generally no mutuality in the context of phone sex commercial services for instance, remote dildonics may also be driven by programming and involve only one human directly, teledildonics would also include anonymous events through a central facilitating service, and have no directness. I've removed the text as being more suitable for wiktionary and definition of the term than as being encyclopedic, it is not up to wikipedia to theorise on future limitations to theoretical extensions of present day technology wikipedia is not a crystal ball nor time machine. Regardless, the assertion is unsourced besides being false. User:Pedant 20:12, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
