TELES AG

The TELES AG Group (ISIN:DE0007454902, Wertpapierkennnummer: 745490) is a German concern which develops and markets information technologies.
The TELES AG Group is made up of two separate companies. The first, TELES Communication Systems (TCS) develops infrastructure systems for telecommunications networks. The second, TELES Wireless Broadband Internet (TWBI), markets its Europe-wide internet via satellite services under the skyDSL banner.
The company was founded in 1983 as TELES GmbH by Professor Sigram Schindler in close cooperation with the Technical University of Berlin. Dr. Schindler lectured in telecommunications at the university until 1998. In 1997, he was voted High-Tech Manager of the Year by Manager magazinein Germany.
On Monday 24th September 2007, the TELES AG Group announced its intention to close the TWBI skyDSL business division by the end of 2007.
