Category:Television stations to Flash-Cut to digital

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A list of full powered NTSC analog television stations in the United States that signed on the air after the FCC issued a DTV allocation for existing stations in 1997. Because these stations were granted an original construction permit after the FCC finalized the DTV allotment plan on April 21, 1997 [1], the stations did not receive a companion channel for a digital television station. Instead, on or before February 18, 2009, which is the end of the digital TV conversion period for full-service stations, these analog stations will be required to turn off their analog signal and turn on their digital signal (called a "flash-cut").
