[edit] Merge

As some may have noticed, i have added a merge template on this article. My concensus for this is that Dark Ressurection is merely a upgrade with minimal add-ons and easter eggs. Most of this article is saturated with excess use of E3 images regardless, and the upgraded information could do much better in the oringinal Tekken 5 article. However, these are my sentiments; I'm willing to listen to any and all suggestions and viewpoints on the matter- what does everyone else think..? -MegamanZero|Talk 16:43, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

  • Disagree - separate games. --Dangerous-Boy 12:17, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
How so..? They even have the same name. Tekken 5:Dark Ressurection is nothing more than a "expansion pack". It does not need a whole new article. -MegamanZero|Talk 12:20, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
Well, it's marketed as a separate game.--Dangerous-Boy 09:23, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
  • Ide say merge it, its a very modified version of Tekken 5 yes, but its not a sequel. Similar to say, Battlefield 2: Special forces (which is merged withinn battlefield 2) i dont see why not -Occidental Folde
No one is contributing to the situation any furthur; I'm going to take the initive and start a merge into said parent article.-ZeroTalk 01:41, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I wanted to get this game

I wanted to own this game when it was rumored to be released on the Playstation 2, but now it's on the PSP! I'll never be able to play as Lili. :'( --User:Angie Y.

  • The return of "Tekken Bowl" is well worth the price of a PSP. Trust me. Teh Shingen 18:50, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

This isn't a forum.--MacintoshApple 08:29, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Advertising campaigns

In Australia this game has two distinct adverts one during primetime with two stereotypical asian kungfu characters fighting it out, this one advertises that the game can be had for free with purchase of a psp unit. The second run late at night replicates the phone sex adverts on tv then shows footage of the game. Are these adverts international or exclusive to Australia?Atirage 14:10, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Try asking your question at the Reference Desk, you're probably more likely to get a response that way. --WikiSlasher 12:35, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Eddy Gordo

Eddy Gordo's own character space and customizable costumes is mentioned twice throughout the same section of the article. It's a little redundant and could use some editing. {{subst:unsigned:69.47.97.212}}

Well, anyone can edit Wikipedia. No reason for you not to. --Wirbelwindヴィルヴェルヴィント (talk) 05:19, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Download?

How can a PS3 game like this baby be downloadable if they're no disc? Angie Y. 12:49, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

It downloads onto the PS3's hard drive. Tzepish 14:59, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

My mom says they're a problem with it being a downloadable version, though. She said it has to be on a disc like the other games. Angie Y. 20:49, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

The PS3's hard drive has a 20 or 60 GB capacity (depending on which model the user has purchased), and the download for Tekken 5 DR is reportedly around 800 (EDIT: 555) MB. It will easily fit on the hard drive, and it should work just as well as fl0w or Lemmings or any of the other downloadable games... they are simply selected from the "Games" menu on the PS3 crossbar, regardless of whether you have a disc inserted to the PS3 or not. But, we'll all see how well it works when Tekken 5 DR hits the playstation store later today :-). Tzepish 22:38, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

But we can't afford to get an account on it. I've always wanted to play as Lili, because I had (and still have a special plan on for to "Sissify" her. Angie Y. 00:11, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Can't afford "an account"? If you mean the Playstation 3 itself, then that makes sense, the beast costs a lot. But the online accounts for the playstation network are free once you have the system, and the game download will be $20.00. Just clarifying. Tzepish 00:18, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. Like I said, I've always wanted to play as Lili, because I had (and still have) a special plan on for to "Sissify" her. And because I really am a fan of spoiled/wealthy characters, like Veruca Salt and Princess Morbucks. Angie Y. 00:35, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] US Playstation Version

ok i edited it today on when it was coming out, and i had a link to the IGN article saying it was coming out today, 1 March 2007, and it was going to be $19.99 and i also mentioned the price of the European version too, with a link also. Where is it at? Magikmm 00:15, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Well, it's in the US playstation store now. Tzepish 00:29, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
I know, I'm downloading it now :D Magikmm 00:55, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Awww man!

I can't find the Story Battle mode and Theater Mode in the downloadable PS3 version. :'( It's the crummy arcade version! They blew it again! Angie Y. 23:31, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

These modes are not present presumably because the movie files would take up a ton of hard drive space. You can still unlock movies for the new characters and download them. Tzepish 02:57, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, but the prologues for the new kids are missing. Angie Y. 16:44, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

The prologues aren't worth being put in. Anyway, if all these modes were in the PlayStation version, it would cost quite an amount of money to buy. Also, this isn't a forum to post your views. I would suggest going to GameSpot or IGN to speak your opinion. Michael Mad 21:25, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Demo

Why in the infobox under the release date it states that the PS3 version is a Demo as far as I know the game is actually the full release, shouldn't this be changed? Deathawk 22:46, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

The game is missing some modes, though. Angie Y. 17:16, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Well, is the PS3 version the arcade version? If so, that solves the question of why some modes are not included. --Wirbelwindヴィルヴェルヴィント (talk) 03:13, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] stages

how many number of stages in the arcade mode of tekken 5 dark resurrection? is it 200 also?

[edit] Online play

Go here, there is an article, from Famitsu, that says that Dark Resurrection will have online play. You buy this downloadable upgrade(which will be cheaper if you already bought the older version)and you also get practice mode and survival mode[1]. Michael Mad 09:46, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Online Date for Japan Announced?

Take a look for yourself: http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/7997/iup402634wt5.jpg It says (in Japanese), that it will be released on the 30th of this month (June). It also restates previously confirmed knowledge: Full Pack 2800yen Expansion pack only 1000yen

Sadly, that date has been confirmed to be a typo, according to some sources. Michael Mad 09:41, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] disambiguation with Dark Resurrection movie

how shall we solve diambiguating the title with Dark resurrection (movie) , the one line at begining was removed, so shall I create proper disambiguation page with Dark Resurrection title ? thanks for advice in advance :) --Quentar 22:12, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Add-on upgrade

The add-on upgrade is awesome! Maybe Namco Bandai should make another, this time with Story Battle and Theatre Modes! Angie Y. 23:40, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
