Talk:Tehran Province
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Can we please change the picture of "Sadeghiyeh commercial centre" with something better looking? I mean that's just aweful. --Sennaista 22:56, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- Replace it with what? With pictures like these that reveal the true Tehran? Or maybe with Chadori women and fierce looking moral police? Or maybe just hide the city's image with pictures of old mosques and museums? Or maye, is it that we are afraid that the building is a copy in design of sorts of the Lloyd's building in London?--Zereshk 02:01, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

- What's wrong with revealing the true Tehran? After all this is an encyclopedia! If you want to show a modern image of Tehran, I'm sure you can easily find better looking modern buldings out there. You do like to jump the gun though.....Is that because you live in Texas? ;) --Sennaista 22:38, 19 December 2005 (UTC)

- If you do find a better looking picture of Tehran, please do let us use it. This is the best we can offer without breaking copyright laws.--Zereshk 03:01, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] "County" as "Shahrestan"
I think it's better to translate "shahrestan" as county, not township. Bidabadi 13:37, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tehrān or Tehran
The most common spelling in English texts should be used as the main title. Using characters such as ā may be helpful to show the correct pronounciation, but it shouldn't bhe used in the title. Jahangard 16:57, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Why deleted?
who has deleted the box with the geographical and demographic info on the Tehran province?
Not very professional
[edit] Mount Damavand - where is it?
Accoring to the article for Mount Damavand, the mountain is in Mazandaran province, not Tehran province as this article states. They both can't be right. Anybody know for sure? --Commking 00:58, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
