TEG Federal Credit Union (originally founded as Taconic Educators and Government Federal Credit Union to designate its field of membership) is a credit union in the New York counties of Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster. As of 2007, the institution has $148 million in assets, 73 full- and part-time employees, and 24,000 members.
[edit] History
When the CU was founded in 1969, membership was limited to educators and government employees in the area, hence the bank's original name. In later years, the bank acquired a community charter, allowing anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school, or volunteers in Dutchess, Ulster, and Orange counties to join the CU.
Today, the bank provides savings and checking accounts, home and car loans, as well as VISA credit and debit cards.
