Teddy Lo is a Hong Kong-based LED artist known for his work in the "tech-art" scene.[1] He has held exhibitions in the United States, Europe, and Asia.[citation needed] Lo studied advertising design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where he began exploring the use of light-emitting diodes in art; he relocated to New York City after his graduation in 2002. He began his career in the advertising industry, but at the same time pursue art using LED as his medium[2] In 2003, Lo held his first solo art exhibition, Morphology, in New York City; with four floors of lights, his show's production costs totalled US$1 million.[3][4] He was named in Lighting magazine's "Who's Who of Lighting 2004", for his contribution to the lighting industry.[1] Since then, Lo has held solo exhibitions in various locations, including Russell Simmons' Art for Life in NYC, Luminale in Frankfurt and the 2006 National Day Singapore Expo at The Esplanade.[citation needed]

As of 2008, Lo is studying for a master's degree in lighting technology offered by the Queensland University of Technology in Australia. In addition to continuing his artistic pursuits, Lo is the founder and Executive Creative Director of Demiurge Unit, an LED experience design company.[citation needed]
