Ted Schwinden

Theodore "Ted" Schwinden (August 31, 1925; Wolf Point, Montana) served as the governor of Montana from 1981 until 1989.

Schwinden was Lieutenant Governor under Thomas Judge and defeated his predecessor in the Democratic primary in 1980. He is a member of the United States Democratic Party.

His wife, former Montana First Lady Jean Schwinden, died from cancer on March 24, 2007, aged 81.
