Ted Polk Middle School is a middle school in Carrollton, Texas, United States.

It is located in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District.(CFB-ISD)

PNN or Polk News Network is the schools "News Network".It broadcasts through the school, giving information about the happenings of the school. Ted Polk is a middle school with many teachers and students. At the moment, Polk has over a thousand students enrolled. The Polk's musical arts are considered as one of the top in the entire state. Last year(2007), our highest band, Wind Symphony, was invited to Austin to play for the governor. We were extremely honored. The choir at Polk is also very skilled. They are known, for their talented voices. The orchestra is in the lead for the amount of trophies, and the band brings out the music. Polk also has an Award Winning Ted Polk Orchestra. MATH- 6th Grade may choose regular or pre-ap math.Pre-AP is a class where the students are able to obtain information quicker than the regular students. 7th Grade may choose, also, math or pre-algebra.Pre-algebra is an beginning structure to Algebra. 8th Grade may choose 8th grade math,ramp-up math,pre-algebra math,or algebra.Algebra is one of the the very few class, at TPMS, that is a high school course.

SCIENCE- 6th Grade may choose regular or pre-ap science.Pre-ap science is the same hardess, for any other classes. 7th Grade may choose regular or pre-ap. 8th Grade may choose regular or pre-ap.

LANGUAGE ARTS- 6th Grade may choose regular,pre-ap,or IDS. 7th Grade may choose regular,pre-ap,or IDS. 8th Grade may choose regular,pre-ap,or IDS.

IDS(Interdisciplinary System) is like GT(Gifted and talented). It's a program for students that are above, and is only for the core class Language Arts. Currently, there are over 70 students in this wonderful program, which is amazing. This class is similar to pre-ap classes,but the students are able to grasp high-level ideas, at a quickly amount of time.

SOCIAL STUDIES(HISTORY)- 6th Grade may choose regular or pre-ap. 7th Grade may choose regular or pre-ap. 8th Grade may choose regular or pre-ap.

As you can see, TPMS gives a wide range of core classes to choose from. It is, indeed, an incredible school.

Random information-Our main rival is DeWitt Perry Middle School.

Ted Polk Middle School's mascot is the panther. We see your school mascot at all the football games, basketball games, and some volleyball and soccer games. We also see him at pep rallies and our student vs. staff basket ball game.
