Ted Corbett

Ted Corbett is a cricket writer and journalist. He is the author of The Great Cricket Betting Scandal. He is perhaps best-known for his cricket journalism and has reported extensively on behalf of the Hindu, the Financial Times and other publications. He began his career as a tea boy, aged 16, in 1951, at the Yorkshire Evening Press, did his National Service as editor of Japan News, the forces newspaper, in Tokyo; returned to York as a sports writer, went on to the Daily Herald, the Daily Mirror, the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Express before becoming cricket correspondent of The Daily Star in 1982. He set up his own sports agencyin 1989 and in 2007 was still working for a variety of British and foreign journals.
