Bell is currently finishing work on his most recent Hawke spy novel, "Tsar", as announced on his own site's message board on September 17, 2007. This book deals with the rise of the 'New Russia', the return of the KGB and the new 'Evil Empire' and is part of the Alex Hawke series. In TSAR, Hawke will deal with a re-generated Kremlin, one which will stop at nothing to recoup its lost territories and assert world dominance.
Bell's World War II time-travel adventure novel, Nick of Time, will be published in a new hardcover illustrated edition by St. Martin's Press in May, 2008
