According to Wikipedia, Ted Moult committed suicide, but I haven't so far been able to find any independent confirmation of this.Shantavira 17:47, 10 July 2005 (UTC)

He shot himself. Inspiring the joke of the time - 'What have Ted Moult and Everest double-glazed windows got in common?' - 'They both have a hard wood surround'!
