The second paragraph of the article needs attribution. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 19:58, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'm moving the paragraph in question to the talk page until someone can provide a source for it. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 02:58, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Curson became interested in playing trumpet after seeing a local newspaper salesman play a silver trumpet while selling newspapers. Curson's father could not afford a trumpet, and furthermore wanted Ted to become an alto saxophone player like his idol, Louis Jordan. Finally, when Ted was 10 years old, his father found an old trumpet for him in the Navy Yard. He soon after formed a band, the Bebop Trio, with friends from the neighbourhood.
I did find a source that corroborates part of this story, so I have partially restored it in the article. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 16:14, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, the text (as shown on this page) was copied from the same website ([1]) and so was a copyvio in any case. I think it's OK now following my edit. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 16:23, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
