Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for Alex DeLarge. I really enjoyed the article. It had been a while since seeing the movie, so the article brought back vivid memories. As a new member of Wikipedia, you might like to start by reading the tutorial and introducing yourself at the new users page. Two useful tips are that you can sign your name using four tildes (~~~~) and you can practice editing by using the Sandbox. You can regularly find new tips on the Community Portal. I look forward to reading your great articles and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. If you have any questions, you can ask at the help desk or on my talk page. :-) SWAdair | Talk 08:45, 7 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Tumbleweeds

Hi, i just reverted your changes to Tumbleweeds, as they seemed to be vandalism- not written seriously, and also putting down a lot of the characters. If you have any questions, please talk to me on my talk page. Thanks-- CattleGirl talk | e@ | review me! 02:30, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

I would like to point out that the actual descriptions of the Tumbleweeds characters (at www.tumbleweeds.com) are written in much the same style I used---I was trying to paraphrase T.K. Ryan's own words without using them directly. As I understand it, using Ryan's own phrasing would constitute copyright violation, but paraphrasis is allowed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Technomad (talkcontribs) .
That's fine, but the reason I reverted the changes was that the entry was not written in an encyclopedic manner- for example 'The Sheriff is the town lawman. He is assisted by a deputy named "Knuckles," who is incredibly stupid.' However if you rephrased this, it would be fine, as well as maybe putting in some comments about why the Sheriff is notable, etc. Other than that, the edits do have potential, I just think that you need to rephrase them and perhaps expand them a little.
